This is the first post in a series of vacation pictures from Carmel California. I’ve been busy with work and home projects so I’ve been slow to post-process them. I bought a Sigma 18-250mm lens for the trip and was very happy with it as a walk-around lens.
Susie’s Mom and Rick invited us to vacation with them to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. We flew into San Francisco and drove from there which was a relaxing drive. Susie’s sister Lisa and her husband Craig flew into the Monterey airport where we picked them up. We rented a house which was very nice on the inside and had a putting green, fire pit, and hot tub outside. The location couldn’t have been better as it was just off the intersection of the main highway and road to downtown/Carmel Beach.
I hit my first putt on the green and probably missed my next 100. It looks flat but far from it.
The outside was nicely landscaped.
We noticed there was no need to own a mower.
After eating too much at dinners, we spent the evenings outside enjoying the hot tub and fire pit.
This is the view as we walking down to Carmel Beach.
Carmel Beach with Pebble Beach Golf Course in the background.
We heard the water is usually 53-56 year round which is cold!
We were also told that every 7th wave is a big one which knocked Lisa on her butt!
