This is the second post of our Carmel California vacation and shows pictures of 17-Mile Drive at Pebble Beach. The very scenic drive takes you through the Del Monte Forest and Pacific coastline and we stopped several times to take it all in. In addition to the great views there is a lot of different wildlife along the drive and the number of sea lions on the rocks is pretty impressive. There are a lot of golf courses along the drive including Pebble Beach GC.
View shortly after entering 17-mile drive.
Can you tell they’re related?
Deer on a golf course. I believe California has mule deer.
I got a good moment of Sally, Susie, and Rick watching big waves coming in.
Still at Spanish Bay.
Brandt’s Cormorant birds don’t have waterproof feathers and sun on rocks to dry off.
Don’t know what bird this is.
The haze made it tough to get a good picture of all the sea lions on this rock.
There were many more in the water.
The Lone Cypress tree.

The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Pebble Beach practice green.
We had some appetizers and cocktails overlooking the 18th green.
