On Tuesday the women went to downtown Carmel for some shopping and the guys took a drive south along the coast and grabbed some lunch. Craig, Rick, and I were in a convertible and toughed out the cool drive along the ocean. There were a lot of old bridges along the drive which was neat. We ate at restaurant along the coast and watched and listened to big waves hitting the rocks. That evening we went down to Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey to walk around and have dinner.
You can see one of the old bridges in the distance.
The scenery along the drive was amazing.
It took a lot of patience waiting for a big wave that was higher than the rocks.
I didn’t capture one, but a few waves actually went over this rock!
View walking to Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey.
There is quite the variety of boats in the wharf.
Plenty of places to eat.
No idea how you climb up there with just flippers…
There’s a sea lion on first and second bases.
Across from where we ate.
Susie and Sally doing their sea lion calls…
…looks like Rick bit!
Staring into the low sun our Transitions were working hard!
Good thing the fire marshal wasn’t around.
Posing for the camera.
Craig’s sea lion call is top notch!
Nice lighting as sun was setting.
We didn’t eat here but there were nice views from the deck.

Waiting while the girls got their after dinner coffees.
